About Freedom Property Investors

Derek and Jenny Grandfield founded Freedom Property Investors in 2011 with one goal in mind: to build a path to financial freedom by giving new life to rundown properties. What began as a way to invest in rental homes quickly grew into something much deeper—serving people, improving neighborhoods, and creating real, lasting change in our community.

Born and raised in the Wichita area, we’re proud to call this city home and even prouder to be raising our three children here. We both graduated from the Barton School of Business at Wichita State University, and our shared background in business and real estate has helped shape the values we bring to every project: integrity, transparency, and doing what’s right for our customers, even when it’s not what benefits us most.

At Freedom Property Investors, we care deeply about helping people. Whether that means buying a home that needs work, helping someone navigate a difficult property situation, or restoring a neighborhood, our mission is people-first.

We’re also passionate about giving back. We both serve as mentors through Big Brothers Big Sisters and regularly participate in mission trips across the globe. But at the end of the day, our greatest joy comes from making our city better, one house at a time.
